This year, SEEA and ACEEE have partnered to offer two complementary conferences, side-by-side, that share some key themes. They are informative separately, but also together. We encourage you to consider attending both!
The 2018 Rural Energy Conference is a one-day, multi-track conference to be held on Monday, October 22nd. It precedes the two-day 2018 SEEA Conference to be held on October 22nd – 24th. It will convene leaders from industry, utilities, cooperatives, non-profits, academia and government to discuss how energy efficiency technologies and programs can help rural America leverage its unique characteristics for economic growth and social equity.
Small towns and the rural countryside make up 75 percent of the land area of the United States. They are home to 14 percent of the U.S. population. Rural America, defined as any area with a population of less than 50,000, has a unique way of life with a proud and independent culture. Just as this culture is unique, so too are the energy, economic and societal challenges and opportunities.
